BLOOMSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team concluded the 2023-24 season on Sunday afternoon by dropping a non-conference match to Scranton, 7-2, at Wolbers Courts.
The Warriors finished the season 1-13 overall while the Royals improved to 10-7 headed into their final match on Tuesday.
After dropping the first set of her singles match, Samantha Passmore bounced back with a 4-6, 7-5, 11-9 victory at No. 1 singles over Scranton's Taralyn Reilly as the senior rallied from down 8-3 in the tiebreaker set.
ESU closed out the match strong as freshman Katrina Ricci swept the Royals' Haley Kenny 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to earn her second singles win of the season.
