ORLANDO, Fla. – At the NCAA Division II Spring Festival opening ceremony on Monday evening at Mango's Tropical Cafe, the East Stroudsburg University women's lacrosse team was awarded the Team GPA Award, which honors the team with the highest grade-point average at the finals site of every national championship.
The Warriors combined for a team grade-point average of 3.679, which topped Adelphi, Regis and Tampa as NCAA Semifinalists for women's lacrosse this season.
ESU opens game action in Winter Park, Fla. on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. against Adelphi. The Warriors look to punch their ticket to its second national championship appearance in three seasons with a win against the Panthers.
