EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University field hockey midfielders Nicole Krozser and Jady van Gils have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans, as released by the association this afternoon. Krozser earned a spot on the Women's At-Large First Team while van Gils was named to the Women's At-Large Third Team following their stellar graduate student and junior campaigns.

Krozser, a 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team member, concluded her illustrious ESU career as a two-time NFHCA First Team All-American as well as a three-time All-PSAC selection (First Team – 2023, Second Team – 2022, Third Team – 2021). In her final season, Krozser totaled 22 points as she matched her career-high with 10 goals, which included four game-winners, to go along with a pair of assists. The Booton, N.J. native will forever be etched in the program's history books as she scored the game-winning goal with 38 seconds remaining to lift ESU to its second NCAA Division II National Championship in 2022.

She earned her bachelor's degree with a 3.97 GPA as a communications sciences and disorders major in the spring of 2023 and currently holds a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master's degree in communications sciences and disorders.

Krozser is the second ESU student-athlete in the 2023-24 academic year to garner a CSC Academic All-America First Team selection as women's soccer midfielder Rebecca Kotula earned the honors back on December 20, 2023.

Additionally, she joins an exclusive club of now 12 Warriors to earn Academic All-America twice in her collegiate career and is the second in ESU field program history as Katie Horst (1997-99) was recognized three times.

van Gils landed on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team after posting a 3.72 GPA as a sport management major. The Amersfoort, Netherlands native adds another honor as she has now earned NFHCA National Player of the Year, NFHCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year, NFHCA First Team All-America, PSAC Athlete of the Year, All-PSAC First Team, PSAC Tournament MVP and PSAC Fall Top 10 this year. Additionally, she is representing field hockey as one of 11 finalists for the prestigious DII Honda Athlete of the Year.

Through three seasons with the Warriors, van Gils has played in 59 games and made 57 starts while registering 50 points on 16 goals and 18 assists. She is a two-time NFHCA First Team All-American and honored as All-PSAC twice (Second Team – 2022, First Team – 2023).

Krozser (2023, 3rd Team) and van Gils became 11th and 12th Academic All-America selections overall, joining Hannah Barbush (2022, 3rd Team), Syndey McCarthy (2018, 1st Team), Emily Howell (2017, 2nd Team), Danielle Ard (2017, 3rd Team), Ally Roth (2016, 3rd Team), Katie Horst (1998-99 – 1st Team, 1997 3rd Team) and Michelle Knapik (1987, 1st Team).
