EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Tied 1-1 at halftime, the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team scored two goals in the final 45 minutes to defeat Shepherd 3-1 in its home opener Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors (2-0-2, 1-0-2 PSAC East) remain unbeaten through four matches. The Rams (2-1-2, 0-1 PSAC East) suffered their first loss of 2024.
Notables
- Ryan Kiernan, Ignasi Cucurella Tuset, and Cayetano Diaz each registered goals. The trio of Warriors all posted their second goals of the season.
- Michael Ulbraten assisted on Kiernan's opening goal.
- Shepherd's Josue Guzman scored in the 25th minute to tie the match at 1-1.
- ESU led 19-5 in total shots and 10-4 in shots on goal. SU held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
