EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University STUNT team has announced its inaugural schedule for the 2024-25 season and will join the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as an associate member in 2025-26.
“We are so excited to begin our first season of STUNT this February,” ESU head coach Krikit Gulics said. “Our student-athletes have enjoyed the transition from acrobatics and tumbling and have worked extremely hard this past fall in preparation for the 2024-25 season. We are thrilled to join the GLVC next season and compete against talented teams. STUNT is growing at such an incredible pace, and this move as an associate member will challenge our team.”
The Warriors will compete in five tournaments and 20 total games during the 2024-25 season. After hosting a Family, Friends and Alumni Meet on Feb. 9, ESU opens its inaugural campaign in Erie at the Mercyhurst Tournament, facing Baldwin Wallace, Mercyhurst and Muskingum in the first contests in program history.
Koehler Fieldhouse will host its first-ever STUNT game on Feb. 27, when the Warriors welcome Misericordia. ESU then heads to St. Louis for the Missouri Baptist Tournament (March 1-2) before making a short trip to Dallas, Pa., to face Misericordia on the road (March 20). The Warriors will then compete in neutral-site games against Buena Vista, Staten Island and Randolph in Dallas, Pa., on March 29.
ESU returns to Missouri on April 5 for the Drury Tournament in Springfield (April 5-6), then concludes its first STUNT season in the Poconos against Saint Elizabeth, Mercyhurst and Randolph on April 12-13 at Koehler Fieldhouse.

After competing as an independent in 2024-25, the Warriors will officially join the GLVC in 2025-26 for the league’s first season sponsoring STUNT.
“We look forward to our STUNT program joining the Great Lakes Valley Conference beginning in the 2025-26 season,” ESU Director of Athletics Dr. Allen Snook said. “Their reputation in NCAA Division II, along with their success in competition and in the classroom, will only help our program—and the sport—grow tremendously.”
Established in 1978 with a commitment to NCAA principles, the GLVC has embodied athletic and academic excellence for 45 years. STUNT will become the 26th sport sponsored by the conference. The inaugural season of GLVC STUNT will feature six programs: full-time league members Drury, Lewis, Maryville, Quincy and Southwest Baptist, along with associate member East Stroudsburg. ESU was approved for associate membership in September 2024.
“We are pleased to welcome East Stroudsburg University as an associate member for the sport of STUNT,” GLVC Commissioner Jim Naumovich said in a press release. “Their addition will allow the GLVC to sponsor STUNT as the league’s 26th championship for the 2025-26 season and expand participation opportunities for hundreds of student-athletes currently competing in the sport at our member schools.”
ESU announced its transition from acrobatics and tumbling to STUNT in June. STUNT is a new women’s sport incorporating skills derived from cheerleading, featuring head-to-head competition in categories such as partner stunts, jumps and tumbling, pyramids and tosses, and team routines. A total of 83 collegiate teams across the NCAA, NAIA and junior college levels will sponsor a STUNT program by the 2026 season.
