LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Sophomore
Ryan Kiernan was announced as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon driven by his play in the Warriors' win against Goldey-Beacom last Wednesday.
Kiernan scored the lone tally for the Warriors on the week, coming in a 1-0 win over the Lightning. The sophomore buried a one-touch shot from the top corner of the box to beat the keeper, and on Saturday he recorded East Stroudsburg's one shot on goal against Millersville, nearly tying the game off a slick run past the back line in the marquee PSAC East matchup.
This is Kiernan's first time being named the top athlete of the week for the PSAC East. He now has three goals, one assist, and seven shots on goal on the season.
The Warriors are 6-5-2 with a 2-2-1 in-conference record, and have games at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at West Chester, and host Shepherd at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 for the team's senior day.
