Coulter named PSAC East Athlete of the Year; ESU with two All-Conference selections

11/20/2025 2:39:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its All-PSAC Teams and major award winners on Thursday afternoon, with senior Anna Coulter making ESU history winning her third consecutive PSAC East Athlete of the Year award. Coulter received First Team honors as well, and her teammate Marta Leeland was also named to the All-PSAC East First Team after her freshman season.

Coulter is now the first female and second student-athlete in ESU history to earn three consecutive PSAC East Athlete of the Year awards, previously earning the honor in 2023 and 2024. She joins Jonathan Roberts (MBB, 1988-90) and Jimmy Terwilliger (FB, '03, '04, '06) as the only Warriors to earn three PSAC Athlete of the Year awards during their careers.

The Hershey, Pa. native becomes the second player in volleyball history to earn First Team honors all four years, alongside April Mellot (1999-02).

She earned five PSAC weekly awards this season, including three in a row. Across the PSAC, Coulter ranks first in blocks (174), first in points (529.5), third in kills (391), and second in hitting percentage (.363). She has posted four 20+ kill matches and most recently recorded her career high against Seton Hill with 23 kills. Coulter also has recorded five matches with 10+ total blocks.

Leeland earned First Team honors after stepping into the libero role for the Warriors during her first season. The Portage, Wis. native ranks second in the conference in digs (536, 5.01 per set) and is first in total service aces (43, 0.50 per set). She recorded a high of six service aces against West Chester on Nov. 8 and recorded three or more on five occasions this season. She recorded a career high of 33 digs against Bloomsburg on Oct. 18 and has marked 10 matches where she recorded 20+ digs.

The libero was named the PSAC Athlete of the Week on Oct. 6 after she combined for 60 digs and six service aces across three matches.

The Warriors (24-5, 13-1) extended their win streak to 12 matches after a five-set victory over No. 4 Seton Hill in the PSAC Quarterfinals. East Stroudsburg will host the Semifinal and Championship rounds on Friday (Nov. 21) and Saturday (Nov. 22) inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
