INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The East Stroudsburg women's volleyball team was ranked third in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings, released in numerical order for the second time this season.
The NCAA regional rankings ultimately determine the team's selected to the NCAA DII Women's Volleyball Tournament. Wednesday marked the second set of numerical regional rankings released by the NCAA, with the NCAA Selection Show taking place Monday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m. and will stream live on ncaa.com.
At the time of the release, ESU's overall record is 23-5 and their in-region record is 23-4. The Warriors closed out the regular season with two key wins over Shippensburg (3-1) and Shepherd (3-2) this past weekend to be named the PSAC East Champions and earn the No. 1 spot in the PSAC Tournament.
With last night's results, the Warriors (24-5, 13-1) extend their win streak to 12 matches after a five-set victory over No. 4 Seton Hill in the PSAC Quarterfinals. East Stroudsburg will host the Semifinal and Championship rounds on Friday (Nov. 21) and Saturday (Nov. 22) inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
