COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its 2025 All-Region teams Wednesday morning, with ESU field hockey earning four spots on the All-Atlantic Region Teams.
Back
Charlotte Simon and midfielder
Elaiana Rivera-Lagalla were named to the Atlantic Region First Team, while midfielder
Kerry Kaufman and forward
Minke Klijn earned spots on the Second Team.
Simon, a Second Team All-American last season, was the anchor on the Warriors' back line. The First Team All-PSAC defender helped limit ESU opponents to 1.06 goals per game on 7.3 shots per game, limiting teams to one goal or less in 12 of 20 games this season.
Rivera-Lagalla enjoyed her best year as a Warrior in her senior season. The midfielder scored six goals and tallied six assists, earning All-PSAC First Team for the first time in her career.
Kaufman, another Second Team All-American from the 2024 season, finished her career with consecutive seasons on the All-PSAC Second Team as well. The midfielder set career-highs in scoring with six goals and seven assists to total 19 points in 2025.
Klijn was the second-highest scorer in the PSAC, finishing the season with 39 points on 15 goals and nine assists. Klijn was an All-PSAC Second Team honoree and earned PSAC Athlete of the Week halfway through the season for a nine-point stretch across three games.
The NFHCA Division II All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of NFHCA postseason awards over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on Dec. 11, followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on Dec. 16 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on Dec. 18.
