York, Pa. - The Warriors placed third overall in the 800-yard freestyle relay, the highest finish in the event in the program's recorded history. The bronze medal effort is the team's highest finish in a relay since 2004.

How it Happened - Session 1
Mackenzie Spence kicked off competition by beating her seed time in the 200-yard individual medley by six seconds, finishing in 2:21.03 seconds.
Avery Fohring also beat her seed by swimming 2:16.32.
In the 50-yard freestyle,
Vera Renshof led the warriors with a prelims time of 23.65 seconds and advanced her to the A finals.
Brianna Wasem (freshman) would join Renshof by making the C final with her time of 24.36 seconds.
Anna Stauffer (freshman) narrowly missed a finals spot by swimming her season's best of 24.77 and placing 28th.
To close out session 1 competition,
Alyssa Brown destroyed her previous personal best in the 1000-yard freestyle by over 20 seconds finishing in 27th with 11:22.47.Â
How it Happened - Session 2
Anique Hazebroek recorded the Warriors' first top eight finish of the week in the 1000-yard freestyle. Hazebroek paced her way to fourth overall and the second-best time in school history with 10:29.1 seconds.Â
In the C final 50-yard freestyle, Wasem returned by taking twentieth overall with her time of 24.45 seconds.
Renshof lowered her prelim time in the final with 23.60 and recorded the second top eight finish on the day with eighth place.
The biggest highlight was the Warriors' third place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay, the highest in program history. The Warrior crew of Wasem, Stauffer, Hazebroek and Renshof combined to break their own school record and win bronze with 7:41.46.
The last time the Warriors were third in a relay was 2004 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.Â
