EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – No. 14 ESU STUNT opened their home tournament, the Warrior Invitational, in dominant fashion by winning all three games.
 
How it Happened: ESU 12, STEU 0
The Warriors started the day with a commanding shutout over St. Elizabeth University. ESU captured both points in the opening quarter with clean Partner Stunt routines, competing in Routines 1 and 2. They continued their momentum into the second quarter, winning both points in the Pyramids & Tosses routines to take a 4-0 halftime lead.
 
Coming out strong in the third quarter, ESU secured both points in the Jumps & Tumbling routines to extend their lead to 6-0 heading into the Team Routine. The Warriors then swept all six available points across two rounds of Team Routine, sealing a 12-0 shutout victory over the Eagles.
 
How it Happened: ESU 14, MU 11
In their second game of the day, the Warriors battled through a tight contest to edge Misericordia University. After falling behind 0-2 early in the Partner Stunts, ESU regrouped and evened the score at 2-2 to close out the first quarter.
 
The Warriors took their first lead during the second quarter, capturing three points in the Pyramids & Tosses routines to move ahead 5-4. ESU maintained their momentum through the third quarter, winning three routines while Misericordia claimed just one. In the Team Routine, the Warriors picked up six crucial points to clinch a hard-fought 14-11 victory over the Cougars.
 
How it Happened: ESU 11, GU 0
The Warriors closed out the day with another dominant performance, sweeping Gallaudet University 11-0. ESU controlled the match from start to finish, winning all four quarters and putting an exclamation point on an undefeated first day at the Warrior Invitational.
 
ESU STUNT will wrap up their regular season with Day 2 of the Warrior Invitational on April 13th inside Koehler Fieldhouse. Games begin at 10:00 AM.
