The Series: These two teams first faced off at Millersville in a razor close match which saw the Warriors win with a final score of 4-3 on March 30. In the doubles matches the Marauders had the advantage winning two of three, the tide turned in the singles matches where the Warriors won four of six to claim the regular season victory.
Scouting ESU: One of many impactful newcomers to the team, Marketa Beladova has gone 15-2 in singles matches, 13-3 in doubles matches, and finished the regular season undefeated against PSAC East and West opponents in both singles and doubles.
Freshman Ariel Kelsick has been stellar in her first-year campaign, winning 19 singles matches — setting a new program record — and posting an 11-1 record at the No. 4 singles spot.
Lea Stefanovic has also stood out in her freshman year, winning 14 singles matches and going 11-3 at No. 2 singles.
Troy Haas, now in his second season as head coach, has led the Warriors to a school-record 17 wins and counting, guiding the team to its first PSAC playoff appearance since 2018.
Scouting Millersville: The Marauders' duo of Luci Consigliere and Chloe Abramowitz are 10-5 this season at No. 2 doubles. In singles, Abramowitz is 10-13 overall but 6-2 at the No. 3 spot, while Consigliere has won eight of her nine matches at the No. 4 spot.
The winningest singles athlete on the roster is Lauren Hayes, who has gone 18-3 this season, winning seven matches at No. 2 and eight at No. 3.
Matt Helsel has been at the helm since the 2016-17 season and has led the team to a PSAC title match and three PSAC East titles.
