East Stroudsburg, Pa —East Stroudsburg University (ESU) has earned national recognition for academic excellence in collegiate athletics, ranking 3^rd among all NCAA Division II institutions in the 2024–2025 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards. With 242 student-athletes honored, ESU also led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), outperforming all other member institutions.

The D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards, now in their eighteenth year, celebrate student-athletes who excel academically while competing in NCAA-sponsored sports. To qualify, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, complete at least two years of collegiate coursework, and actively participate in intercollegiate athletics during the academic year.

Within the PSAC, ESU led with the highest number of honorees, followed by Slippery Rock University (209), Seton Hill University (208), and Bloomsburg University (160). Nationally, only Tiffin University (300) and Colorado Mesa University (280) surpassed ESU's total.
