East Stroudsburg Finishes 2025-26 Dixon Trophy Standings In Third Place

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — For the third-straight year, East Stroudsburg University finished third in the Dixon Trophy standings, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Warriors wrapped up conference play with an average score of 11.23 in men's sports and 11.63 in women's sports, averaging out to a score of 11.47. ESU held its third-place ranking entering the spring season, which included baseball, outdoor track & field, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's tennis, and softball, finishing behind West Chester and Gannon.
 
This past spring season, ESU had 40 All-PSAC selections and finishes, 34 PSAC Athletes of the Week, and took home six major awards between men's track & field, baseball, women's lacrosse, and women's tennis.
 
Softball (16 points): The ESU softball team finished the season with a 38-21 record, going 21-11 in PSAC competition. Entering the conference tournament as the three seed in the PSAC East, the Warriors battled their way to the championship round, where they finished as the runners-up. ESU then earned the second seed in the Atlantic Region, going 2-2 in pod play to wrap up their season. The Warriors were led by Sarah Davenport inside the circle, Delaney Ridgell behind the plate, and Kinsley Proepper at first base. All three were named to the All-PSAC East First Team, the NFCA All-Atlantic Region First Team, and the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team.
 
Baseball (14.5 points): After a historic 2025 season, the ESU baseball team followed up that year with a share of the PSAC East championship. Finishing 37-16 overall and 21-7 in conference, ESU tied West Chester for the best record in the division entering the PSAC Tournament. The Warriors fell in the conference semifinals, but earned their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament berth, where they went 1-2 in their Atlantic Regional pod. The Warriors had five All-PSAC selections, as well as HC John Kochmansky being named the PSAC East Coach of the Year, and third baseman Zander Condeelis earning Freshman of the Year honors for the division. Walker Zampella and Ryan Dewees earned All-PSAC East First Team recognition and All-Region honors, while Cole Dymek was also named All-Atlantic Region First Team by the NCBWA.
 
Men's Track & Field (14 points): The ESU men's outdoor track & field team took third place at the PSAC Outdoor Championships, winning four events at the meet. Anthony Voto and Luke Stevenosky successfully defended their titles in the hammer throw and javelin, respectively, as Jalen Cook was crowned the high jump champion, and the team of Chase Temple, Jayden Johnson, Ajani Miller, and Mark Jackson captured the 4x400-meter relay title. Cook was recognized as the Men's Outstanding Field Athlete, as he was one of three record-breaking performances from this season; the other two being Voto and Stevenosky in their championship events from earlier in the year. The Warriors had four athletes selected to compete in Emporia, Kan., in the NCAA Championships, with Voto, Stevenosky, Cook, and Nasir Heard in the triple jump eye All-America honors.
 
Women's Lacrosse (14 points): The ESU women's lacrosse team is one of three teams still competing this spring season, currently preparing for the NCAA semifinals tomorrow evening. After their first undefeated regular season in program history, the PSAC East champions reached the conference semifinals, finishing third in the tournament. The Warriors were then selected as the second seed in the Atlantic Region, defeating West Chester and avenging their loss to Kutztown to secure their fifth region championship. ESU had five All-PSAC East selections, including Sadie Kauffman as the division's Player of the Year and HC Xeni Barakos-Yoder as the top coach. Kauffman set numerous program records this season, breaking her own marks for goals and points in a season, and becoming the first Warrior to earn five PSAC East Athlete of the Week awards in a season. Kauffman and Abby Simonetti, who also became the first Warrior to win six PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week awards in her career, were named First Team All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine, while Ariana Tucci and Molly Atwell were named to the Third Team.
 
Women's Tennis (14 points): The ESU women's tennis team broke its fair share of program records as well this year, as the Warriors finished the regular season as PSAC East champions. After defeating Bloomsburg for the first time since 1979, the Warriors entered the PSAC Tournament with an 18-4 record, setting the program record for wins in a season and single-season winning streak, and Theresa Bauer posted the most doubles wins and best record ever by going 20-6. They fell in the conference semifinals to Slippery Rock, but earned three All-PSAC East First Team honors, two individuals on the PSAC East Second Team, and combined for seven PSAC East Athlete of the Week awards from Lea Stefanovic, Ariel Kelsick, and Jenna Kastell.
 
Women's Track & Field (10 points): The ESU women's track & field team finished seventh at the PSAC Championships, winning two events and adding three additional All-PSAC finishes. Zianna Dobson and Aina Galan took first place in the discus and pole vault, respectively, as Shannon Harnett placed third in the long jump and triple jump, while Porschia Bennett was third in the high jump. Three program records fell this season, as Harnett set two new marks in the long jump and triple jump, and Galan broke the record for pole vault. Harnett and Bennett were selected to compete in the NCAA Championships as well, as they'll both compete in the high jump, and Harnett additionally with an entry in the triple jump.
 
Women's Golf (1 point): The ESU women's golf team finished in 11th place at the PSAC Championships, posting a score of +371. Abby Beyer and Samantha Boger finished in the top half of the field, shooting a +40 for 18th place and a +46 for 25th place, respectively.
