8/29/2025 1:00:00 PM

Colorado Springs, CO — East Stroudsburg University's field hockey program continues to shine on the national stage, as four of its standout student-athletes have been named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE).

The Warriors honorees include seniors Kerry Kaufman and Charlotte Simon, along with juniors Minke Kllijn and Isabella Viruet. All four players have made significant contributions to ESU's recent successes and are now recognized among the top talent in NCAA Division II field hockey.
  • Kerry Kaufman (Senior, Midfielder, #16) has been a cornerstone in the Warriors' midfield, providing leadership and consistency throughout her collegiate career.
  • Minke Kllijn (Junior, Forward, #17) is known for her offensive prowess, tallying impressive numbers and energizing the ESU attack.
  • Charlotte Simon (Senior, Defender, #7) anchors the defensive line with her tactical awareness and relentless work rate.
  • Isabella Viruet (Junior, Midfielder/Defender, #3) showcases versatility, excelling in both defensive and midfield roles for the Warriors.
These four student-athletes are among 33 field hockey players from 16 Division II institutions to earn a spot on the NFHCA Watchlist. The list highlights players with the strongest potential for consideration to the year's All-Region and All-American teams. To qualify, nominees must have earned significant field hockey honors in the past two years and been nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

The Watchlist is not a direct nomination or selection to the All-Region or All-American teams, and players not included on the Watchlist remain eligible for those honors. Still, this recognition is a testament to the talent and hard work of East Stroudsburg's field hockey program and its student-athletes.
As the 2025 season unfolds, all eyes will be on Kaufman, Kllijn, Simon, and Viruet as they look to lead the Warriors to further success and vie for postseason honors.
