KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The East Stroudsburg University women's cross country team ran their second race of the season at the DII/DIII Challenge hosted by Kutztown University. The Warriors looked strong, bringing home a second place finish on one of the most challenging courses in the state.
The Warriors put five women in the Top 22 finishers of the race earning a total of 65 points. Kutztown won the race on their home course totaling 51 points. A total of eight teams and 84 runners completed the 6km race.

Notable Performances
Payton Falkenstein led the Warriors with a third-place finish, covering the course in 23:04.20 seconds. Finishing second for the Warriors was freshmen
Sarah Williams, taking seventh place in 23:28. Not far behind was
Mia Sisilli, placing 12
th, with a time of 23:49.20.
Rounding out the Top 5 scorers for the Warriors were
Carla Bautista finishing in 21
st place in 24:33.10, closely followed by
Riley Trentowski in 22
nd, with a time of 24:34.30.
Completing the top seven were
Kiera Wimbush who finished in 29
th in 24:54 and
Marissa McDougall in 25:25.
