PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team fell to the Jefferson Rams on Saturday afternoon at the Abraham J. Salaman '58 Tennis Courts. While the Rams took the match 7-0, the Warriors gained valuable experience against high-caliber competition.

The day was highlighted by a resilient performance from
Ariel Kelsick at the No. 3 singles position. After dropping the doubles point, Kelsick put the Warriors in contention for their first point of the match. She started strong, winning the first set 6-3 against Jefferson's Marta Vazquez. Kelsick then fought through a tight second-set tiebreaker and a nail-biting third-set super-tiebreaker in a marathon match, ultimately falling in a hard-fought battle 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-8.
In other singles matches,
Alice Ehrenlechner and
Bega Gotor also put up strong second-set fights at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots, respectively.
How it Happened
Jefferson secured the doubles point to open the match, winning all three contests. In singles, the Rams clinched the overall victory before Kelsick's match concluded, as she continued to battle for a team point in the final match on the court.
