HAMPTON, Va. — The ESU men's wrestling team finsihed in fifth place at the Virginia Duals, going 3-1 at the two-day tournament.
 
NOTABLES

• Lincoln Carlson stepped up in a big way for the Warriors, filling in in the 285-pound spot in the lineup. The freshmen went undefeated across the Warriors duals, winning both his matches on Friday by fall, and following up with a major decision and decision victory on Saturday. 
• Luke Ciampa had a standout showing at the tournament, also going 4-0. Ciampa picked up a win by technical fall, two by major decisions, and finished with a decision win. 
• ESU had three other wrestlers pick up three wins across the four duals — Austin Noe, Gavin Reynolds, Anthony Lawrence, and Robert Burke. Noe finished with a pin and two technical falls, Reynolds won his three final matches in the order of decision-major decision-decision, Lawrence won three by decision, and Burke opened the duals with fall, major decision, and decision victories.
