EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The ESU men's basketball team was listed as one of the top 10 teams in the Atlantic Region in the first batch of NCAA Regional rankings, announced earlier in the week.
The first version of rankings are not listed numerically, instead alphabetically, with the Warriors being one of five PSAC teams to be listed. Filling out the rest of the 10 teams are California (Pa.), Charleston, Fairmont State, Fayetteville State, Gannon, Indiana (Pa.), Virginia Union, West Chester, and West Liberty. Official rankings with teams listed numerically will release next Wednesday, Feb. 25.
The Warriors are in the middle of the hunt for a PSAC East title, currently in third place with a 13-6 conference record, trailing Millersville by half a game and West Chester by a full game. ESU does hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Marauders, and will wrap up the regular season with West Chester on Feb. 28
th. Before then, the Warriors host Kutztown for their final regular season home game, honoring their seniors before tip-off and holding the university's PSAC 75
th anniversary at halftime.
