LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Heading into the final stretch of the 2025-26 year, East Stroudsburg finished the winter sports season in third place overall in the Dixon Trophy Standings, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Thursday morning.

With six sports total, the Warriors finished second on the women's side and fifth among men's teams in the winter season. Between men's and women's basketball, men's wrestling, and women's swimming, ESU went 56-32 overall with a 27-21 in-conference record. Meanwhile, the women's track & field team finished the championship meet as the conference runner-up, and the men's team came in fourth place.

East Stroudsburg had 24 All-PSAC selections and finishes at conference championships, including seven event champion performances and a major award from the men's basketball season.

As the heart of the spring season rolls around, ESU trails Gannon and West Chester for the top spot in the Dixon Trophy standings. Right behind the Warriors are Kutztown, Indiana (Pa.), and Slippery Rock.

Women's Track & Field (16 points): The ESU women's track & field team finished second at the 2026 PSAC Indoor Championships. It was the team's highest finish since its 2014 runner-up performance, winning two events and earning eight All-PSAC honors to total 88 points at the meet. Shannon Harnett and Gabriela Pifano each took first place in the high jump and shot put, respectively, as Harnett and Porschia Bennett both qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships. There, they both earned All-American status, placing second and eighth place. Harnett cleared a height of 1.79m (5-10.75), breaking the PSAC record that was set in 1977 and tied in 2015 by ESU's Christina O'Connor. Three other Warriors finished second in their events at the conference meet, as Aina Galan (pole vault), Riley Trentowski (mile), and Aaliyah Cancel (400-meter dash) earned silver. The Distance Medley Relay team of Trentowski, Carla Bautista, Alexis Ray, and Cancel also finished second to round out the Warriors' All-Conference performances.

Men's Track & Field (13 points): The Warriors took fourth place at the conference championships this season, winning four events overall and earning six All-PSAC honors. Anthony Voto continued his historic season, setting the meet record with a throw of 20.23m as he qualified for the NCAA Championships. There, he set a new conference record with a mark of 21.17m, finishing fifth in Division II, which was the best finish in ESU history at the meet. Jalen Cook (high jump) and Jayden Brown (triple jump) also took home individual event championships at the conference meet, as the 4x400-meter relay team of Michael Stank, Ajani Miller, Chase Temple, and Mark Jackson won the event for ESU's fourth win of the weekend. Voto also earned All-PSAC in the shot put, finishing third, the same place as Daniel Smith in the triple jump.

Men's Basketball (10 points): The ESU men's basketball team finished the 2025-26 season with a 21-9 record, finishing fourth in the PSAC East while winning one game in the PSAC Tournament. Led by an All-PSAC player on each unit, Nasir Griffin and Adrian Brito each earned a spot on the division's Second Team. Additionally, Brito was the PSAC East Freshman of the Year, marking the first time the honoree has been selected to an All-PSAC team in the same season in four seasons. Griffin became the 36th player in program history to join the 1,000-point club, crossing the milestone mark in the team's penultimate game of the regular season.

Women's Basketball (9 points): The ESU women's basketball team finished the 2025-26 campaign 17-12 overall, finishing third in the PSAC. The Warriors were led by Brie Droege, who was named to the All-PSAC East First Team, while both Brooke Droege and Avery White were named to the All-PSAC East Second Team.

Women's Swimming (7 points): The Warriors finished up the 2025-26 season with their highest point total, scoring 504 at this year's meet. The team had five All-PSAC finishes, headlined by Vera Renshof winning the 200-yard freestyle in back-to-back years. Anique Hazebroek had three individual All-PSAC performances in the 500-, 1,000-, and 1,650-Yard Freestyle Events, and led the 800-Yard Freestyle Relay team that also included Mikayla Potts, Anna Stauffer, and Renshof to a third-place finish.

Men's Wrestling (3.33 points): The ESU men's wrestling team finished the season with a 15-8 overall record, highlighted by Luke Ciampa's end to the season. Ciampa became the fourth wrestler in program history to win 100 matches, finishing his career with 101. He did so at the NCAA Super Region 1 Championships, where he became the 17th wrestler in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

The Dixon Trophy, named after F. Eugene Dixon Jr., is awarded by the PSAC to the member institution whose athletic programs earn the best overall finish in the conference championships and/or regular season play. During the course of the academic year, points are awarded based on an institution's finish in the 23 conference sports.

The final standings update will be released after the conclusion of the conference championships for the spring sports in May.
