LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — For the second time in her career,
Ariana Tucci was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Tucci was unstoppable in ESU's wins over Bloomsburg and Millersville last week, leading ESU to its record-breaking 13th- and 14th-straight wins. Tucci finished the week with identical five-goal, two-assist stat lines in each game, recording 14 points between the wins. She accounted for her offense efficiently, scoring on 10 of her 15 shot attempts.
She improved to second in the conference in goals (49) and points (70), only trailing her teammate
Sadie Kauffman in both categories. She's been a catalyst for ESU's perfect season so far, as the Warriors are tied for the 11th-longest winning streak in PSAC history and jumped to No. 5 in the latest IWLCA rankings.
Tucci is now the sixth different Warrior to be named a PSAC East Athlete or Defensive Athlete of the Week, marking the 10
th weekly conference award for ESU, with at least one honoree in each of the last six weeks.
The Warriors look to continue their pace heading into the final three games of the regular season, beginning with their home finale. ESU hosts Shippensburg at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Whitenight Field.
