Woods Earns First Career PSAC East Pitcher of the Week Honor

4/20/2026 2:30:00 PM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — After quieting Shippensburg's offense in a 17-0 shutout win, Ethan Woods was named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Woods shut down the potent Shippensburg lineup, throwing five scoreless innings. The Raiders recorded only three hits against him, as Woods struck out four and did not walk a batter. He did this against the most explosive lineup in the conference, as Shippensburg entered the weekend leading the PSAC in both batting average and OPS. Woods held the Raiders to their second scoreless game of the season, their first in PSAC East play.

Woods is the second Warriors' pitcher to be named the PSAC East Pitcher of the Week this season, joining Evan Hughes, who has earned the honor twice. It's also the first time in his career Woods has been recognized as the top pitcher in the division.

The Warriors are riding a 10-game winning streak and are tied for the top seed in the PSAC East, as they'll travel to St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday and play Shepherd in a four-game series this weekend. First pitch against the Spartans is slated for 3:30 p.m. on April 21 in Orangeburg, N.Y.
