INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The ESU women's lacrosse team debuted the first numerically ranked list of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region rankings as the top team, the NCAA announced Wednesday evening.
Through April 19, the Warriors are 16-0 one of two teams without a loss in the region. They hold a slight edge over Slippery Rock, who has a 15-0 record and 14-0 in-region record. The PSAC accounted for all four spots in the top half of the rankings, as West Chester and Kutztown were ranked third and fourth. The rest of the rankings went Wingate, Frostburg State, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Anderson (S.C.).
Since the rankings released earlier today, the Warriors completed their regular season with a 14-13 overtime win against West Chester. They now wait for the rest of the conference teams to finish their seasons, with the PSAC Tournament next on the schedule. The Warriors will host the PSAC West fourth seed at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.
