Women's Lacrosse Moves To Fourth Ahead of Posteseason

4/27/2026 11:38:00 AM

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — With the regular season in the books and the Warriors heading into the postseason full steam ahead, ESU jumped one spot to No. 4 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, the organization announced Monday morning.

The Warriors earned their highest ranking since being slotted in at No. 3 in 2024. Having gone 17-0 in the regular season, the Warriors enter the conference tournament as the top seed in the PSAC East. ESU is one of three teams in Division II to have a perfect regular season, alongside Flagler, which is 19-0 and ranked first, and Slippery Rock, coming in at 17-0 and ranked seventh.

ESU added another marquee win to its resume last week by defeating No. 11 West Chester, finishing the regular season with six wins over ranked opponents. In those six games, the Warriors won by an average margin of 9.2 goals per game, just a couple of goals shy of their Division-II-best 12.2 average margin on the season.

The Warriors open the PSAC Tournament with a home game against the No. 4 seed from the PSAC West, Lock Haven. Their postseason starts at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Whitenight Field.
