Track and Field Set for 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The East Stroudsburg University men's and women's track & field teams are set to compete in the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships on Thursday, April 30 through Saturday, May 2 at Seth Grove Stadium on the campus of Shippensburg University.

Awards & Honors  

  • The top three finishers in all individual events will be named to All-PSAC honors and the top two teams in the team standings will take home team trophies. Other awards will be handed out Saturday as well, including awards for the top scholar-athlete at the meet and Most Outstanding Athlete awards.  

Last Time Out – 2025 PSAC Men's Outdoor Championship  

  • The ESU men's team won the program's first PSAC Championship title with 165.5 points. 
  • In the field events, the Warriors won five events including the high jump, long jump, shot put, hammer, and javelin. 
  • Returners Luke Stevenosky, Anthony Voto, and Peter Stanislavsky won their respective events in the javelin, hammer, and the high jump. 
  • Voto also took second in the shot put and fifth in the discus. Stanislavsky took third in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump.  
  • Chris Costa placed seventh in the javelin while Jaden Johnson also placed seventh in the triple jump.  
  • Miguel Charlery took seventh in the 100m, and Mark Jackson took fourth in the 400m. 
  • The 4x100m relay placed fifth with a time of 42.34, while the 4x400m relay placed third with a time of 3:14.22. 

Men's Notes    

  • The men's team has 29 total athletes competing and qualified for 19 events, ranging from sprints, distance, and field events.   
  • Miguel Charlery is seeded ninth in the 100m (10.63), while Nico Gasque is seeded 17th and Jaylen Morrison is seeded 19th.  
  • Charlery currently ranks 11th in the 200m (21.74), while Gasque ranks 12th (21.77). 
  • Mark Jackson is second in the conference in the 400m with an NCAA provisional time that ranks second all-time (47.55). Jayden Johnson's time of 48.07 ranks third, while Ajani Miller and Chase Temple are seeded 16th and 17th. 
  • Aiden Voth, Lucas Thaler, and Ethan Willard will compete in the 1500m. 
  • Ethan Holcomb ranks in the top 10 in the 10,000m with a time of 31:46.53, while Nick Gdowik also ranks in the top 10 in the 3,000m steeplechase. 
  • Raqeeb Somoye's time of 14.56 in the 110m hurdles is fourth in the conference, while his time of 54.87 in the 400m hurdles is ninth. 
  • The 4x400m relay consisting of Temple, Johnson, Miller, and Jackson leads the conference with a time of 3:13.10 which ranks second all-time. 
  • ESU has four in the top five in the high jump. Jalen Cook and Peter Stanislavsky rank first and second, respectively, with marks of 2.10m (6 feet, 10 ¾ inches) and 2.06m (6 feet, 9 inches). Both marks are NCAA provisionals which also rank first and second in the region. 
  • Albert Morton ranks fourth in the conference with a mark of 2.00m (6 feet, 6 ¾ inches), while Daniel Smith ranks fifth with a mark of 1.96m (6 feet, 5 inches). 
  • In the triple jump, the Warriors own the top four spots and total five conference marks. Nasir Heard leads the conference with an NCAA provisional mark of 15.28m (50 feet, 1 ¾ inches), which ranks third all-time. Jaden Johnson's NCAA provisional mark of 14.73m (48 feet, 4 inches) ranks second in the league and is eighth all-time.  
  • Daniel Smith is third in the league with a mark of 14.67m (48 feet, 1 ¾ inches), while Jayden Brown is fourth with a mark of 14.62m (47 feet, 11 ¾ inches). Peter Stanislavsky is seeded in the eighth spot, while Gabriel Tsayo is 15th.  
  • In the long jump, Daniel Smith, Nasir Heard, and Peter Stanislavsky all earned qualifying PSAC marks. Morton will also compete and is the No. 17 seed. 
  • Chris Costa's mark of 4.70m (15 feet, 5 inches) in the pole vault ranks fifth in the PSAC. 
  • Anthony Voto, the school record holder in the hammer, is looking to repeat as the champion. He currently holds the top mark in the conference with an NCAA provisional mark of 66.77m (219 feet, 1 inch) that he recorded at ESU's All-American meet on April 4. 
  • Voto also currently ranks fifth in the PSAC in both the shot put and the discus. 
  • Luke Stevenosky, the school record holder in the javelin, is looking to also defend his title. He broke the school record with his conference leading and NCAA provisional mark of 71.86m (235 feet, 9 inches) at the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11. 
  • Joseph Roth and Kaden Zerfoss have also recorded PSAC marks in the javelin.  
  • Jalen Gaymon's mark of 15.83m (51 feet, 11 ¼ inches) in the shot put ranks 10th in the conference. He will also compete in the discus and the hammer. 

Men's Qualifiers:  

Last Time Out – 2025 PSAC Women's Outdoor Championship  

  • The ESU women's team placed fourth at last year's meet with 70 points.   
  • The Warriors won three total events including the high jump, triple jump, and the hammer throw. 
  • Shannon Harnett was named the Women's Outstanding Field Athlete following a standout performance. Harnett won the high jump and triple jump, while taking third in the long jump. 
  • Porschia Bennett was runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 1.71m. 
  • Riley Trentowski placed second in the 1500m (4:38.53) and earned a podium finish in the 800m (2:20.51). 
  • In the 100m hurdles, Makayla Smith placed sixth in 15.02. 

Women's Notes    

  • The women's team has 23 total athletes competing and qualified for 20 events, ranging from sprints, distance, and field events.  
  • Alyssa Vogt qualified for the 100m at Shippensburg's Mid-Week Bonanza on April 1 with a time of 12.35 which ranks 13th in the league. 
  • Aaliyah Cancel has qualified for both the 200m and 400m. In the conference standings, she ranks 13th in the 200m and second in the 400m. Her time of 56.49 in the 400m ranks fourth all-time in ESU history.   
  • Both Riley Trentowski and Carla Bautista qualified for the 800m. Trentowski's time of 2:11.80 in the 800m currently leads the conference and is third in the region, while Bautista's time of 2:20.12 ranks 11th.  
  • Bautista is positioned for a podium finish in the 1500m as her time of 4:44.71 ranks sixth in the PSAC. 
  • Sarah Williams has qualified for both the 5,000m and the 10,000m, while Kiera Wimbush has qualified for the 10,000m.  
  • Mia Sisilli's time of 11:47.01 in the 3,000m steeplechase ranks sixth in the league and is seventh all-time in ESU history. 
  • In the 100m hurdles, Makayla Smith and Eyinah Smith have recorded qualifying marks. Eyinah's time of 15.04 ranks 17th in the conference and is eighth all-time in ESU history. 
  • Shannon Harnett and Porschia Bennett both recorded season bests at Shippensburg's Mid-Week Bonanza with NCAA provisional marks that rank second and third in the conference. Their marks rank fifth and 13th, respectively, in Division II. 
  • Harnett also broke her previous school record in the triple jump at Shippensburg's Mid-Week Bonanza with an NCAA provisional mark of 12.40m (40 feet, 8 ¼ inches). Her mark leads both the conference and the region, while ranking seventh in the nation. 
  • Harnett is also seeded eighth in the long jump, looking to earn another podium finish. 
  • In the pole vault, both Aina Galan's and Reese Ruggiero's marks rank first and fourth in both the conference and region. Galan's mark of 3.75m (12 feet, 3 ½ inches) broke her school record on April 24 at the 2026 Penn Relays. Ruggiero's mark of 3.66m (12 feet) ranks third all-time. 
  • In the shot put, Gabriela Pifano and Emily Edelman have top 10 qualifying marks. Pifano's mark of 12.63m (41 feet, 5 ¼ inches) is eighth in the PSAC and is seventh all-time in ESU history.  
  • Pifano also qualified for the discus with a mark of 39.75m (130 feet, 5 inches), which ranks seventh. 
  • Bailey Grassmann qualified for the hammer on April 24 at the Carol & John Covert Classic with a mark of 45.61m (149 feet, 8 inches). 
  • Edelman will also compete in the hammer, currently seeded 17th. 
  • Zianna Dobson is seeded No. 4 in both the discus and the javelin, while her mark in the javelin is an NCAA provisional. Her mark of 42.59m (139 feet, 9 inches) in the javelin is fifth all-time and her mark of 41.97m (137 feet, 8 inches) in the discus ranks second all-time, while both are freshman records. 
  • Also qualifying for the discus is Anastasia Dakes and in the javelin is Shaela Bedell
