Women's Lacrosse Earns Five All-Region Spots For Third Straight Season

5/13/2026 3:00:00 PM

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) revealed its 2026 All-Region Teams, as Molly Atwell and Sadie Kauffman earned First Team honors, and Lauren Hallman, Jolee Roth, and Ariana Tucci were named to the Second Team.

The Warriors matched their total of five All-Region selections from last season, with Roth being the only addition to the group. Atwell and Kauffman both reclaimed their spots on the First Team, while Hallman and Tucci repeated as Second Team honorees. The Warriors have now had five All-Region players in three-straight seasons, and have had at least five every season since 2018, when ESU moved to the Atlantic Region.

Atwell has had her play recognized a couple of times this past week, earning Defensive Player of the Week from the IWLCA for her play in the Atlantic Region Semifinal round, and was named a Third Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine. The team leader in ground balls and caused turnovers, Atwell is also coming off a career-high 13 draw controls as she's second on the team in that category.

Kauffman has now been named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team twice in her first two seasons, earning the spot as the third-highest scorer in Division II this year. Kauffman earned two Division II Player of the Week awards from the IWLCA this year, pairing with two from USA Lacrosse Magazine and a program-record five PSAC East Athlete of the Week awards.

Hallman built on her season last year of 38 goals and 14 assists, posting a career-high 47 goals and 57 points this time around. The two-way player ranks third on the team in goals and fifth in points, the highest-scoring Warrior outside of the team's four starting attackers.

Roth makes her first All-Region appearance in her senior season, as she is in the midst of her best season as well. She recently became the 11th player in program history to reach 200 points, climbing to eighth place all-time with 96 goals and 109 assists for 205 points. She's five assists shy of matching the career record of 114, and two away from becoming the fourth Warrior to record 50 in a single season.

Tucci has been the 1B to the Warriors' offense this year, tallying 66 goals and 27 assists for 93 points. Ranking in the top-20 in Division II in goals and points, she's now made the All-Region Second Team in both her seasons at ESU.

The IWLCA selected 128 Division II student-athletes to the All-Region teams. All athletes are eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on Wednesday, May 20.
