NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Three members of the ESU women's lacrosse team accepted invitations to compete in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Game, as
Lauren Hallman,
Hannah Schiemer, and
Abby Simonetti will represent the Warriors on May 30 in Sparks, Md.
The trio represents ESU's first participants in the event since 2022, the program's 24
th, 25
th, and 26
th players to compete in the game.
Hallman, an IWLCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team member, contributed on both sides of the field as the team's top midfielder. She scored 51 goals and 10 assists this year, ranking third in goals and fifth in points. She earned identical accolades this season as she did last year, as she was also named to the All-PSAC East First Team after both seasons. She delivered the 22
nd 50-goal season in program history this year and ranks 20
th all-time with 118 in her career.
Schiemer was a consistent goal-scorer for the Warriors in all four years, averaging 31 goals per year. Her 124 in her career puts her one spot ahead of Hallman in the record book, finishing her career with 20 hat tricks. Schiemer became the seventh player in program history to be named the PSAC East Freshman of the Year, also earning IWLCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors in 2023 and 2024.
Simonetti transferred to ESU before the 2024 season, shutting down opposing offenses from her first game in the crease. Simonetti became the first ESU player to receive a positional player of the year award from the IWLCA, being named the division's top goalie in 2024. She was the third Warrior to be named the PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year last season, and has made an All-PSAC East Team every year she has been at ESU. She has made 593 saves in her three seasons as a Warrior, ranking third in program history, and has two of the three highest save seasons in team history as well.
Each Division level will have two teams that play each other, as Hallman, Schiemer, and Simonetti will be on the White All-Stars Team taking on the Blue All-Stars Team. The game will take place at 3 p.m. at Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, May 30. The game will not be streamed, but admission is free.
