WACO, Texas — ESU kicker Ty Quintois was announced as one of the 175 nominees for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which highlights student-athletes and coaches who give back to their community while leading their team on the field.
 
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team honors college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional community service, academics, and athletics. Starting in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program rewards players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.
 
Quintois' volunteer work has helped him stand out off the field, working with multiple different organizations to give back to the local community. The senior has sacrificed his time to help causes like registering potential donors for the NMDP Get in the Game Bone Marrow drive, participating in the Dr. Seuss Read Across America campaign, serving as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, and volunteering with the ESUMC Soup Kitchen. Additionally, Quintois is a member of the ESU Fellowship of Christian Student-Athletes and is a three-time PSAC Scholar Athlete.
 
On the field, Quintois has been recognized as one of the top place kickers in all of Division II, earning AFCA Second Team All-America for his play in 2025. Quintois was 45-for-46 on PAT attempts, ranking seventh all-time for a single season in program history. This honor came after he was named to his second consecutive All-PSAC East First Team, accounting for 150 points between the two seasons.
 
The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and will include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach. One student-athlete will receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy as the team captain. A selection panel composed of former Good Works Team members, college football coaches, journalists, and other leaders connected to the award reviews nominations from across the country. Voters will consider candidates based on the extent of their community service, leadership, academic accomplishments, and the measurable impact they have had on the people and causes they serve. The panel will select 11 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision players (FBS), 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Divisions II, III, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) ranks, and one honorary head coach.
