Colorado Springs, CO — After racking up three wins last week, the ESU field hockey team jumped up to No. 3 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Coaches Poll. 

The NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted on by designated NFHCA member coaches from each conference, and has no bearing on selection to the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship. After two weeks of regular season competition, eligible teams must maintain a record of .500 or above to be eligible for ranking each week.

The Warriors previously were ranked No. 4, but their recent wins over Mansfield at home, as well as Adelphi and Bentley on the road have placed them above Newberry for the No. 3 spot. ESU now sits behind fellow PSAC institutions, Shippensburg and Kutztown, and is the highest ranked team without a first-place vote. 

The Warriors look to continue their winning ways as they stay on the road for their next matchup, traveling to Pleasantville, N.Y. to face off against Pace at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
