Dylan Mazzo enters his first season as assistant baseball coach at East Stroudsburg University during the spring 2018 season, under head coach John Kochmansky.
Mazzo joins the Warriors after spending the past two years as an assistant at his alma mater, Misericordia. The Cougars went a combined 64-27 and won a pair of MAC Freedom Conference championships during those two seasons. Mazzo worked primarily with the infielders, outfielders and hitters during his tenure.
Prior to rejoining Misericordia, Mazzo served as a graduate assistant coach at Lindenwood University-Belleville, an NAIA institution in Belleville, Ill., from 2013-15. He additionally aided the department in event management while receiving his master’s degree in administration with an emphasis in management from Lindenwood University, Lindenwood-Belleville’s sister college, in St. Charles, Missouri.
Mazzo has also worked as a baseball instructor and coach at All Star Baseball Academy in Downington, Pa., coaching travel teams and providing private lessons for players of all ages.
A 2013 Misericordia graduate, Mazzo helped the Cougars to three-straight conference championships from 2011-13. The team set a new program record for wins during his senior season after finishing the year with a 39-11 record.
Mazzo graduated from Misericordia with a bachelor’s degree in government, law and national security.
