Matt is in his fifth season as a team manager with the ESU baseball team. Haverstick is from Marlton, New Jersey and attended Cherokee High School.

Haverstick has five siblings and his twin brother, Tim is a redshirt senior on the ESU baseball team and played baseball at Cherokee.

Matt played four years of football at Cherokee and earned a varsity letter his senior year, serving as the onside kicker. Haverstick also managed the baseball team in high school.
