Read Brown will be entering his third year as an assistant coach with the Warriors after joining the baseball program as a volunteer assistant in 2018-19. A graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, he has previous collegiate assistant experience at both his alma mater and Glenville State.
Brown joined Glenville State in November, 2016. He served as the team’s primary hitting and catching coach while also serving as the director of baseball operations. Prior to that, he worked as a graduate assistant at Lenoir-Rhyne, again coaching the hitters and catchers in addition to responsibilities as the head JV coach. Brown received a master’s degree in business management at the conclusion of his time at Lenoir-Rhyne.
This past summer, Brown served as head coach for the Hornell Dodgers, a member of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He was previously an assistant coach for the Woodstock River Bandits of the Valley League (2017) and the West Virginia Miners of the Prospect League (2016) in the two prior summers.
