Nick Bach

Nick Bach is in his third season as an assistant at ESU as the defensive ends coach and the Warriors’ video coordinator. He coached defensive tackle Miguel Rivera (2008) and defensive end Jeff Case (2009) to All-PSAC East status in his first two years.

Bach came to ESU from Otterbein College, where he was a graduate assistant defensive line coach for three seasons and coached three all-conference players in 2006. He was also the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator and video coordinator, and also coached special teams and running backs during his time with the Cardinals.

He coached the defensive line at Johns Hopkins University in 2003 and helped the Bluejays to a 10-1 season. He has also spent two seasons as a high school coach, serving as defensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the junior varsity programs at Canisius (N.Y.) in 2001 and Cardinal O’Hara (N.Y.) in 2000.

Bach played defensive end in college, earning two letters at Buffalo State before suffering a career-ending injury his junior season, and was Rookie of the Year as a sophomore. He also lettered at Canisius College as a freshman.

Bach earned his bachelor’s degree in health and wellness from Buffalo State in 2001 and his Master’s degree in Teaching from Otterbein in 2007.
