Dr. Wendy Wheeler Dietrich, D.A.T., is in her 12th year at East Stroudsburg University in 2016-17 after joining the athletic training staff in the fall of 2005.

Wendy is one of two members of the athletic training staff and works with a number of ESU varsity sports, including the primary contact for the Warriors' football team.

She has been a nationally certified athletic trainer since 2000 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Kentucky. While at UK, she worked as a student athletic trainer for a number of teams, including the football team and the national champion cheerleading squad.

She received her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University after performing her graduate assistantship at Fairmont State. While working at ESU, she completed a post-master’s certificate in Sports Psychology at California University of Pennsylvania.

She earned her Doctorate in Athletic Training through the University of Idaho, which was conferred in May 2013. She was one of the first three females to receive a Doctorate in Athletic Training.

She resides in Stroudsburg with her husband, Dr. Scott Dietrich, who is also a faculty member at ESU, and their sons Devin and Owen.
