Sean Hanna enters his second season as a volunteer assistant for ESU’s men’s basketball program in 2018-19 after a four-year collegiate playing career at Moravian.
In his first season on the coaching staff, the Warriors earned their third PSAC championship in the last seven years, and their first NCAA DII Atlantic Region title in program history. ESU finished with a final record of 27-6, including an 18-4 mark against PSAC competition.
Hanna was a two-year captain at Moravian, and he was a key contributor as a senior to a 2016-17 team which finished as regular season Landmark Conference champions and earned the most wins in program history. Hanna started all 28 games that season, averaging 10.2 points while ranking second on the team in assists (67) and steals (39).
Also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during his time as an undergrad, Hanna graduated from Moravian in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He is working towards a master’s degree in exercise science at ESU.
