Andrew Foran joined the East Stroudsburg University soccer coaching staff prior to the 2014 season with a focus on goalkeeper training. He is a graduate student in ESU’s Exercise Science program.
He currently holds NSCAA Level 6, NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 2, NSCAA CSCS and USAW Level 1 coaching certifications.
He received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Shippensburg University.
Foran was a four-year goalkeeper at Shippensburg, playing in 39 games and making 31 starts from 2009-12. He helped the Red Raiders to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011, the 2010 PSAC championship (Ship’s first since 1975) and the sixth-best improvement in DII history from the 2009 to 2010 season.
In 2011, Ship allowed just 17 goals (its fewest since 1987). Foran ranked 41st nationally in save percentage and 51st in goals against average, and earned a PSAC Athlete of the Week award.
