Joe Heitczman is in his 14th season as an assistant coach under head coach Jerry Sheska during the 2010 season. He has helped the Warriors to eight PSAC championships in his time on the sidelines.

A former goalkeeper at ESU, Heitczman logged the most minutes in goal for the Warriors' 1992 PSAC championship team, and was also a member of the 1994 championship team in his final season.

Heitczman came to ESU from Monroe, N.Y. and earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 1996. He is married to the former Vicki Vaites, who was an All-American lacrosse player during her career at ESU and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. The couple has a son Mason, age seven, and a daughter Johanna, age five.
