EAST STROUDSBURG – No. 9-ranked East Stroudsburg University, playing with a top-10 national ranking for the first time in school history, tied a school single-season record with its 14th consecutive win and improved to 20-2 (17-1 PSAC) with an 83-58 win over Mansfield in PSAC East men's basketball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Senior forward Terrance King had 20 points, eight rebounds and moved into a tie for 10th on ESU's career scoring list with 1,248 points, part of a historic night at Koehler. The Warriors matched the single-season winning streak set in 1940-41, recorded their third 20-win season in four years (and eighth in school history), and secured a home game in the PSAC quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 5.

ESU improved to 80-32 over the last four years, extending a school record for wins by a four-year class. The Warriors have made three straight PSAC Final Fours, winning last year's championship, and played in the NCAA Tournament in 2010 (24-6) and 2012 (20-12).

ESU holds a three-game lead over second-place West Chester (16-6, 14-4) with four games to play for the PSAC East regular season title. A win on Saturday at Shippensburg would clinich at least a share of the third division title in school history (1992, 2010).

The Warriors' top two scorers, sophomore guard Whis Grant (17.9 ppg) and senior forward Duane Johnson (13.9 ppg), combined for 14 points – well below their season average of 32 – but a host of players filled the void, starting with King.

The senior from East Stroudsburg North, the Warriors' #3 scorer at 13.2 ppg, had his 10th career 20-point game and matched former standout Juwan Justice on the school's all-time scoring list. King has scored in double figures in seven straight games, the longest run of his career, and is averaging 15.0 points and 6.9 rebounds in that time.

Senior forward Gerald Bridges scored 12 points on a perfect 4-for-4 mark from the three-point line, Grant scored eight points, junior forward Zechariah Runkle had seven and freshman forward Dajon Todmann added eight points off the bench.

The Warriors broke the game open with a 25-9 run over 10 minutes midway through the second half after holding a 48-28 advantage at halftime, as Bridges banked in a 25-footer at the buzzer.

Joe Bell had 20 points and eight rebounds, Charles Becoats had 16 points and six boards and Onyema Utti scored 10 points for Mansfield (6-16, 4-14).

Bridges tied a career-high with four three-pointers and scored his 500th career point, entering with 489 and hitting mark with his fourth three, giving the Warriors a 24-point lead (65-41) – at that time their largest of the game – with just under 10 minutes left.

Grant, who was named the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization Player of the Year on Tuesday, didn't score until the Warriors already had 40 points on the board. He scored on a layup and a three before Bridges closed the first half with his triple, and added another three in the second half. He scored eight points but missed double figures for the first time since January 5 vs. California, scoring 21.9 points over the previous 10 games.

The Warriors shot 48.4 percent (15-for-31) in the first half and were 6-for-13 from long distance, before cooling off to finish the game at 45.2 percent (28-for-62) and 8-for-22 from downtown.

ESU, ranked 10th in Division II in turnover margin (+5.0), was +9 for the second straight game. The Warriors forced 21 turnovers and gave it up just 12 times. They were coming off a 64-60 win over Kutztown on Saturday.

ESU can set the single-season winning streak record, tie another school record with its 10th straight road win, and clinch at least a share of the third PSAC East regular season title in school history on Saturday afternoon at Shippensburg.
