Otavio Caproni scored on a penalty kick in the first half, but Shepherd rallied with two goals in a 46-second span early in the second half for a 2-1 win over East Stroudsburg University in the Warriors' 2014 men's soccer opener on Saturday.
Jeff Kammerer and Kyle Ransom both scored goals in the 57th minute for Shepherd, which won the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

J.B. Pahls made four saves in his third career start for ESU. Alex Aleshire made three saves for Shepherd (2-0).
The Rams had a 15-11 advantage in shots with corner kicks even at four each.
ESU travels to Caldwell on Tuesday and Felician on Thursday before hosting St. Thomas Aquinas in its home opener next Saturday (Sept. 13) at 11 a.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
