PHILADELPHIA - East Stroudsburg University's men's shuttle hurdles relay ran the No. 2 time in school history to lead the Warriors' four entries on Friday at the 122nd Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field.

Freshman Akeim Thomas (14.9), senior Adam Robertino (14.8), sophomore Christian Castro (15.3) and senior Steven Morgan (14.8) ran a time of 59.99, just off the school record of 59.81 (Robertino, Ronald D'Eliseo, Derrick Washington, Morgan) clocked at Penn in 2014.

The Warriors' shuttle hurdles squad was fifth of 12 overall, the top non-Division I finisher, and was just 0.87 off the time of 59.12 run by South Carolina, the defending champion in the event.

All four of ESU's entrants have top-eight times in the 110m hurdles in the PSAC this spring in Morgan (14.35 - 1st), Robertino (14.99 - 4th), Castro (15.06 - 7th) and Thomas (15.13 - 8th).

ESU's men's and women's 4x200m relays both ran the No. 9 times in school history, and the men's 4x400m relay ran a solid time of 3:20.05 on a difficult weather day for sprints at Franklin Field.

In the women's 4x2, senior Tirzah Johnson (26.6), junior Kiana Farrar (25.8) and freshmen Leiana Dean (25.9) and Marissa Flim (25.6) got the baton around in 1:44.11, finishing 35th of 52 relays overall.

The men's 4x2 of freshman Patrick Monahan (21.9), junior Robert Garvey (22.2), Morgan (22.3) and Washington (21.9) ran 1:28.52 to place 17th in a field of 45.

The men's 4x4 was third of nine schools in its heat and 43rd of 72 overall with Garvey (50.1), Washington (49.5), Thomas (50.0) and freshman Khai Samuels (50.4) running 3:20.05.

On Thursday night, junior Allison Decker ran an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the 5000m (16:56.53), second-fastest in school history.

On deck Saturday, senior William Berry (high jump) and graduate student Travis Toth (hammer) compete individually, and the women's 4x800m relay (sophomore Kaylyn West, freshman Victoria Matthews, junior Lauren Toth and sophomore Samantha Young) competes in the Championship of America Invitational.
