PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Junior Rachael Davalos placed 51st out of 154 runners in the women's 6k race, leading all East Stroudsburg University individual finishers at Saturday's 2018 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional meet hosted by Slippery Rock.

Davalos completed the course in a time of 26:45, helping the Warrior women place 14th out of 22 schools in the team standings. Sophomore Casey Ellis led a group of five ESU men who crossed the line within 24 seconds of each other, with the Warriors finishing 13th out of 17 scoring teams overall.

Edinboro topped the women's standings for a second-straight year, while Charleston ended Shippensburg's run of three consecutive regional titles on the men's side.

Davalos paced the Warrior women for a second postseason meet in a row, as she was 41st overall at this year's PSAC Championships on November 3. Junior Jenna Vledder (73rd, 27:32), junior Emily Eder (75th, 27:33) and sophomore Mandy Fine (81st, 27:44) were separated by only 12 seconds, with freshman Kylie Stangle (105th, 28:30) rounding out the ESU scorers.

Ellis ran the men's 10k course in a time of 37:29, a mark which placed him 53rd in a field of 120 runners. He ends the year having finished as ESU's No. 1 scorer in all six races that he competed in, including a second team All-PSAC showing at the conference meet two weeks ago.

Freshman Dylan Senatore (55th, 37:33) was the No. 2 Warrior scorer for a first time this season, as he was only four seconds back of Ellis. Not far behind for ESU were senior Tom Ciaccio (60th, 37:43), junior Jeremy Smith (61st, 37:45) and sophomore Nathan Senatore (67th, 37:53).

Concord's Jason Weitzel (34:01) was the top men's individual finisher, while California's Alicia Belko (23:25) was 38 seconds ahead of the next-fastest competitor in the women's race.
