EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior Irvin Zuzic became the first East Stroudsburg University player in 15 years to record four assists in a game on Tuesday, highlighting a night full of strong performances for the Warriors in a 6-2 home-opening victory over Chestnut Hill.

Zuzic assisted on each of ESU's first four goals, all of which came in the first 15:13 of the contest. He finished two assists shy of Wesley Gayle's program record of six set back in 2003; John King also registered four assists in a game during that same season.

On the goal scoring front, senior Eddy Enowbi contributed a pair of goals, while senior Brandon Levano, graduate student Nico Gericke, senior Jo Panuccio and sophomore Michael Tolley added solo strikes. The Warriors (2-0) have outscored opponents 10-2 in their first two victories.

Zuzic led Enowbi into a goal-scoring opportunity shortly after the opening kickoff. Enowbi then spun around a defender and sent a low shot into the left corner of the goal.

Levano's first goal of the year came just over two minutes later, and Enowbi fired in his second marker (third of 2018) in the 14th minute after Zuzic's initial effort was stopped by Chestnut Hill goalie Sergio Hernandez.

Gericke completed the early offensive explosion shortly afterwards, tapping into an open net after a setup cross from the right side. The goal was his first at ESU in his 14th appearance for the program.

The Griffins (1-2) halved their deficit on goals by Matt Kehr and Andrew Thompson midway through the first half, but Panuccio increased the margin three and a half minutes before the intermission. He sent a free kick from over 40 yards out past an unsuspecting Hernandez for his second strike of the young season.

Tolley rounded out the scoring in the 78th minute, taking a cross from graduate student Jordon Ellison and beating Hernandez for his first goal of 2018 (fourth overall at ESU).

Shots overall were 22-15 in favor of ESU. Enowbi had a team-high eight shots while coming up just short of registering his first hat trick as a Warrior. He has three multi-goal games during his time at ESU.

Senior Will Boerema made six saves to earn his 28th career collegiate victory in goal.

The Warriors hit the road for a pair of non-conference contests to conclude the week. They are at Bridgeport at 6 p.m. on Thursday before traveling to LIU Post for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday afternoon.
