EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University men's track & field team recorded 15 PSAC qualifying marks and won three events at the season-opening Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals meet.

Garth Estadt won the heptathlon with 4,594 points, edging out Kutztown's Tommy Oliver who finished with 4,572 points. Estadt posted PSAC qualifying marks in both the long jump (21'5.50") and the high jump (6'2.25").

Justin Miller just missed out on an NCAA provisionally-qualifying mark in the triple jump, as his leap of 47'6.25" won him the event and was good for PSAC qualifying standards, but was two centimeters short of what was needed to qualify for Nationals. Miller's jump was the sixth-longest in ESU indoor program history.

ESU also claimed first place in the 4x800m relay, as the team of Nick Fanelli, Sean Roberts, Zandrew Bowe and Austyn Hamilton combined for a time of 8:11.88.

The Warriors had three athletes reach PSAC qualifying standards in the weight throw, led by Dominic Walton's mark of 51'4.50", which placed him third in the event. Daryn Blackwell (48'6.25") and Noah Lockwood (47'2.25") also posted qualifying marks.

Walton and Lockwood also qualified for PSACs in the shot put with their tosses of 49'1.75" and 46'11.50", which placed them in fifth and sixth in the event, respectively.

Three Warriors earned PSAC qualifying marks in the pole vault, led by Dan Amari, who tied for fourth with a mark of 14'5.25". Grant Fox posted a 13'11.25" and Khalid Holland registered a mark of 12'11.50".

ESU had three other top-five finishes at the meet, all of which met PSAC qualifying standards. Austin Nice placed third in the long jump (21'8.25"), Nick Lawrence earned a fourth-place showing in the 60m (7.09), and Hamilton finished fifth in the 800m (2:00.64).

Daniel Daley rounded out ESU's qualifying marks, as his 8.99 in the 60m hurdles as part of the heptathlon reached PSAC standards.

The Warriors will be off from competition until January 10 when they head to the Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Kutztown.
