The Warriors (1-0-1) scored first for the second consecutive match to open the season but would see Chestnut Hill even the score late in the first half. The Griffins held advantages in shots and shots on goal in the contest, but redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Evan Miele would come up big for the Warriors in net.

Marcus Torgersson tallied his first goal of the season in the 25th minute to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Torgersson finished a one-time touch in the box from junior
Oliver Lundberg to give ESU some momentum in the match.
The Griffins would answer at the 34:00 mark of the opening half as Paris Bruhn tallied his second goal of the season off a corner to beat Miele and knot the score 1-1. Both sides would enter the half with the score tied as Chestnut Hill recorded eight shots compared to six for the Warriors. Miele made three saves in net for ESU, while Sergio Hernandez made one for Chestnut Hill.
The second half would go scoreless for both sides as ESU recorded a pair of shots on net but would be unable to beat Hernandez. Chestnut Hill found itself with one opportunity but Miele would make the stop in net for the Warriors to keep the score knotted 1-1.
ESU tallied both of the shots that would be taken in overtime as the contest would go to a second extra frame. Tolley would send the Warriors home happy in the 102nd minute as he finished off a cross to the left post from
Teun Jacobs to beat Hernandez and secure the 2-1 victory for ESU.
Miele (1-0-1) finished the contest with five saves in net for the Warriors, while four different Warriors recorded a shot on goal. Lundberg and Jacobs both recorded their first assists of the season for ESU.
The Warriors return home to face Felician in a non-conference matchup at Eiler-Martin Stadium on September 11 beginning at 2 p.m. ESU then hits the road on September 14 for a matchup against the Jefferson Rams at 12 p.m.
