INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released their initial field hockey regional rankings on Wednesday afternoon and East Stroudsburg was ranked No. 4 in the Atlantic Region.

The Warriors are now 13-3 but held an 12-3 record at the time of the ranking. Their losses came to Stonehill and Assumption, who are ranked fourth and first respectively in the East Region as well as the Atlantic Region's number one ranked team, Shippensburg.

The regional rankings determine the field for the NCAA Tournament at the conclusion of the conference tournaments. The rankings will be released every Wednesday until the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.

The top three teams from each region in the final ranking advance to the NCAA Tournament. The No. 2 and No. 3 teams play a quarterfinal game on a campus site. This year's NCAA Semifinal and NCAA Championship will be played at Millersville's Biemesderfer Stadium on Nov. 19 and 21.
