SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- With the game tied at 1-1, a penalty kick goal from Colby Raymond proved to be the difference, as the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory over Shippensburg at David See Field on Wednesday night.
ESU improves to 6-6-2, 4-3-2 with the win, while Shippensburg falls to 4-8-3, 2-8-0 with the loss.
Alex Andersen recorded his first career goal, with Colby Raymond setting the freshman up.
After ESU attempted to clear a possession and the ball ended up in the net for an own goal, Raymond was able to deliver a penalty kick goal for the game winner during the 79th minute of play.

- With the win, ESU was able to stay within distance of Millersville and Bloomsburg of the final spot in the PSAC Tournament. The Warriors trail the two teams by just a single point with three games left.
