Stangle Paces Women’s Cross Country at NCAA Atlantic Region Championships

LOCK HAVEN – The East Stroudsburg University women's cross country team wrapped up their season with a 20th place finish at the 2021 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships on Saturday at Lock Haven's Stern Athletic Complex.

ESU posted an average time of 25:23 in the 6k race at the West Branch Cross Country Course, recording 571 team points.

Senior Kylie Stangle paced the Warriors in 54th place with a time of 23:17.6 and freshman Jada Williams recorded the next best finish in 114th after clocking a time of 24:50.3.

Also competing for the Warriors was junior Samantha Brawner in 140th with a time of 25:54.1, senior Kaylene Raczka right behind in 142nd (26:06.6) and freshman Abigail Rosas in 151st with a time of 26:46.4.

Any additional at-large NCAA selections will be announced Monday.

Today's meet was the final competition of the season for the Warriors as they will now turn their attention to the indoor track and field season which is set to begin on January 14.
