EAST STROUDSBURG – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) unveiled its 2021 Division II All-American teams on Tuesday and East Stroudsburg University seniors Hannah Barbush and Celeste Veenstra were named to the First Team.

Barbush and Veenstra, who were named to the first team as a defender and forward respectfully, were a part of the 32 student-athletes honored as NFHCA Division II All-Americans.

The 2021 All-American teams are made up of 24 first-time honorees, five second-time honorees, two third-time honoree and Jazmin Petrantonio from Shippensburg University, who received All-American recognition for the fourth time. The Warriors have placed at least one student-athlete on the first team every year since 2013 and 15 times overall since 2010.

Barbush added another honor to her remarkable senior campaign as she was named a NFHCA First Team All-American for the first time in her career. Starting in all 21 games this year, the Manheim, Pa. native recorded three goals as well as team-highs in assists (8) and defensive saves (5).

Barbush was previously recognized as the NCAA Elite 90 Award winner, PSAC Champion Scholar and named to the All-PSAC First Team. On November 1, Barbush earned PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week after making a pair of defensive saves in a 1-0 victory over nationally-ranked Millersville.

The first-team All-PSAC honoree wrapped up her senior season with a team-high 12 goals to go along with two assists. In her three seasons with the Warriors, Veesntra finished fifth all-time in goals (41) and tied for eighth in points (91).
