EASTON – Senior Emma Billings highlighted the final day of the East Stroudsburg University swimming team competing against Division I Lafayette by recording a PSAC qualifying time in the 100-yd freestyle at Weinstein Natatorium. There was no team scoring.

Billings' time of 56.28 surpassed the conference qualifying mark of 56.35. She joins teammates Julia Harnish (100 breaststroke), Avery Fohring (100 butterfly), Jenna Johnson (50 freestyle) and Sarah Luigard (400 individual medley, 100 butterfly) as qualifiers for the conference meet. Billings took sixth in the event.
Yesterday, Luigard earned a PSAC qualifying mark in the 100-yd butterfly with a time of 1:01.10. Today, the senior improved her season-best time in the 400 IM after finishing in 4:51.43 for a third place finish.
In the 200-yd breaststroke, the Warriors had the top-three finishers with Julia Harnish (2:37.15) in first, Sarah Banksy (2:46.17) taking second and Erin Brandeburg (2:49.80) coming in third.
Freshman Avery Fohring took third in the 200-yd butterfly with a time of 2:22.89 and Billings finished sixth in the 100-yd freestyle after clocking a time of 56.28. Other top performers in the 100-yd freestyle were Naihomy Garcia (57.10, 8th) and Jenna Johnson (57.48, 9th).
