LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After pacing the No. 10 East Stroudsburg University lacrosse team's offense in a pair of dominant victories, the PSAC announced on Tuesday afternoon that Graduate student Hana Cicerelle was named the conference's East Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Cicerelle combined for seven goals and three assists for 10 points against Kutztown and Shippensburg last week. The Broadway, N.J. native also contributed five draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
The midfielder opened the week with four points (3 goals, 1 assist) against Kutztown in a 20-3 win last Wednesday for the Warriors. She added four goals and two assists for six points in a 13-4 triumph against the Raiders last Saturday.
She was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week last Tuesday, after combining to score seven goals and an assist against nationally-ranked West Chester and Shepherd. Cicerelle has recorded at least three goals against all six PSAC East teams so far this season. Â
This season, she leads the Warriors with 23 goals, seven assists and 30 points. Among PSAC teams, Cicerelle ranks second in total goals and fourth in total points. In the record books, Cicerelle continues to climb closer to the all-time program leader in goals (155 – 3rd at ESU), assists (81 – 2nd) and points (236 – 2nd).
The award is her third career weekly honor, also being recognized as athlete of the week once in 2019.
